Burra. SA.

Today we left the River at Pelican Point and travelled to Burra, a charming secret of
South Australia. Burra was a copper mine, started by Cornish men. The history here is amazing and a must see.
We are now bush camping 11klm from Burra - our first night by our selves.
Now time to relax, read our books and have a baileys!!!!

Riverland- Morgan

Arrived at Pelican Point 14klm's south of Morgan.. Spending quality time with our good friends Ragg's and Lyn. We have been for lots of walks in the scrub, seen a lot of wild life (mainly at Mick's & kerri's). We have had a fire outside everyday. Plenty of good food accompanied by fine wine & dinning. Today we have been into Morgan to the Anzac day parade. On our trip to Pelican point we stopped off at Kapunda to read about the Cornish miners that mined copper in the small town of Eudunda.

We have been to Blanchetown to check out the water flow at Lock 1.
Lizard Lisa is also travelling with us on the big trip and had her 1st day on the dashboard. Expect lots of interesting photos of Lizard Lisa on her travels.

Mclaren Vale -1st campsite

Another day packing and cleaning ready for handover of the house.  We move out of the house to our 1st campsite at Mclaren Vale and finally put our feet up.

The Ute - And now the fun begins...

After 2 years of planning the camper trailer and ute are now ready and we have set a date to start our Australian adventure.  Our 1st stop will be the McClaren Vale caravan park for a few days from the 10/4/12 once we have handed the house over for rental.  This will give us time to get last minute gear and fine tune the packing.  Dee finishes work on the 13th so a week resting and relaxing before we head off. (can't rush these things).
