Broome 1 - WA

We have been staying at Broome caravan park for 9 nights, and it has a fantastic pool. 35 degrees most days now.  Friday night we went to a parade in China town, they have a festival on for 10 days. We went to see the Dinosaur's footprints at low tide. Went to another pearl demonstration which was very interesting & informative. Thursday night we went to the pistol club for shooting practise, which was good fun. Saturday we did a Surf Life Saving patrol at Cable Beach. Saturday night we saw the staircase to the moon.
Sunday we did a full days patrol 0900 until 1630 for surf life saving on Cable Beach with Broome Surf Life Saving Club, who made us very welcome. We got free lunch as they are sponsored by Subway and get lunch brought down to them. We had a Turtle that we tried to save but failed, so we buried him on the beach. We also did 5 lots of first Aid.
Also when we left Middle Lagoon we called in at Beagle Bay to see the church which is made up/ decorated with mother of Pearl shell- very pretty!!!
